Use a customary USB memory stick formatted with the FAT 32 file system for backup
of the Licon FX console data. As a rule, all customary USB memory sticks should be
compatible with the Licon FX. If your memory stick will not be recognised by the
Licon FX, please contact our technical support under the email address

support@jb-

lighting.de

.The memory sticks available from JB-Lighting were tested especially with

respect to the use with our lighting control consoles.
Press the softkey BACKU to start the backup process. The following display is
shown, when your USB memory stick is not yet connected to a USB Out of the Licon
FX:

Plug in the memory stick and the following (or similar) display is shown:

The name of the memory stick is displayed and the softkey USB is visible in the
menu bar. Press this softkey to get to the following submenu:

In the centre of the display you can see an entry of the currently selected directory
with indication of the name, file name extension, date and time of the storage
operation. Select the respective entries with the encoder.
The softkey DIR is used to load the directory when you have changed the memory
stick.
The position of the softkey DIR in the backup menu is replaced by CHDIR, if the
currently selected entry is a subdirectory ““ or a superior directory
“<.. >“. Use this softkey to switch to the corresponding directory.

Delete the currently selected entry by using the softkey DEL.

7.3.1 File formats and file name extensions

The Licon FX supports three different file formats with their corresponding file name
extension for data backup. Use the following softkeys to select one of these file
formats during the storage or loading process:
The softkey ALL is used for backup of all console data except user profiles. The
corresponding backup files have the file name extension “.LFA“.
