Description
VivaStyle Paint On Plus is a brush-on whitening varnish for lightening vital
and non-vital teeth. The product is administered by the user.
Composition
Alcohol, Ethylcellulose, 6% Hydrogen Peroxide, Aqua, Panthenol, Aroma.
Active ingredient: 6% hydrogen peroxide.
One stand-tube contains 17 g varnish. This corresponds to 20 ml.
Indication
–
Whitening of discoloured vital teeth
– Whitening of discoloured non-vital teeth
Contraindication
VivaStyle Paint On Plus should not be used
– during pregnancy or lactation;
– by children;
– by heavy smokers;
– by people who consume large quantities of alcohol;
– by people who are known to be allergic to any of the material’s
ingredients;
– in the presence of cervically exposed teeth;
– in the presence of untreated primary or secondary caries;
– in the presence of restorations with marginal gaps.

Side effects
Temporary irritation of the mucous membrane or sensitivity of the teeth may
occur. These side effects usually subside within a short time after the
treatment is finished or discontinued. Ingestion may result in temporary
irritation of the stomach.
Application
–
Before VivaStyle Paint On Plus is used, the dental professional should
carefully examine the patient’s medical history, inform the patient about
the application procedure and clean the patient’s teeth professionally.
VivaStyle Paint On Plus is administered by the patient at home as instruc-
ted by the dental profession. It is advisable for the dental professional to
monitor the whitening process.
– The first application of any tooth whitening cycle should be performed by
a dentist or under their supervision, provided the same level of safety is
guaranteed. Subsequently, the varnish must be placed at the disposal of
the patient to complete the bleaching cycle at home.
– Individual teeth as well as an entire row of teeth can be whitened.
Step-by-step instructions
1. Clean teeth throroughly. Use dental floss to clean between the teeth.
Rinse well.
2. Fill the dispensing cup up to the brim with VivaStyle Paint On Plus. The
dispensed amount is usually enough for treating the teeth of both the
upper and lower jaw.
3. Pull the lips up and to the side so that the teeth are clearly visible.
4. Use a soft absorbent paper towel to blot dry the facial surfaces of the
upper teeth. Keep retracting the lips so that the tooth surface remains
dry.
5. Apply a thin even layer of VivaStyle Paint On Plus to the front teeth with
the brush. Paint along the sides of the teeth as well as along the gumline.
Make sure that the varnish does not get on the gums. Retract the lips for
another 30 seconds to enable the varnish to dry. The varnish has a matt
white appearance when it has set.
6. Subsequently, dry the lower teeth and repeat the above steps up to the
stage where the varnish is left to dry.
7. Close the mouth. The varnish is left on the teeth for 10 minutes. Note: Do
not eat, drink or smoke during this time.
8. After 10 minutes, remove the varnish by brushing the teeth with a soft
toothbrush without tooth paste. Rinse thoroughly. Spit everything out –
do not swallow.
9. Use VivaStyle Paint On Plus daily without skipping a day. The varnish may
be applied once or twice a day, depending on how the treatment fits into
the daily schedule. A new dispensing cup and brush should be used for
every application.
Notes
The following points should be noted in particular during the treatment:
– Avoid consuming citrus fruit and fruit juices, as they can promote hyper-
sensitivity.
– Avoid, or at least minimize, the consumption of coffee, tea, red wine and
colas as well as smoking to prevent the risk of staining the teeth.
– Only natural teeth are whitened. The appearance of existing restorations
in the front teeth may no longer match that of the whitened teeth. There-
fore, these restorations may have to be replaced.
– The treatment with VivaStyle Paint On Plus should be completed at least
two weeks prior to the placement of tooth-coloured restorations.
– The teeth cannot be made to look whiter than their natural colour.
– The application of a thicker layer or several layers of varnish does not
improve the results.
– The set varnish may appear to coat the teeth unevenly.

Warning
Avoid contact of the material with the skin, mucous membrane and eyes.
After accidental contact, rinse the affected area with copious amounts of
water. If contact with the eyes occurs, immediately rinse with plenty of water
and seek medical advice.
Storage

– Protect VivaStyle Paint On Plus from heat and sunlight
– Do not use after the date of expiration
– Store at 2 – 28 °C / 36 – 82 °F.
