5. Rotate the tool over the buckle, backing of
with tension handle throughout the entire
course of the bend.
Failure to back off with tension handle
throughout the entire course of bend may re-
sult in breaking of band. There is no loss of
tension, as the band released is used up in
the bend.

6. Pull the cutter handle to cut the band.

7. Remove the tool holding the stub of the band
down with your thumb.

8. Lock the stub by hammering down the buckle
ears, thus completing the BAND-IT clamp.
