Question 1: How many files do I need to load into EEG-QIP for the Guide channel feature set?
Answer 1:
There are total of 4 files to load:
guide.dat
colors.dat
header.jpg
footer.jpg
Question 2:
How do I load the files into EEG-QIP?
Answer 2: You use the “Upload Files” from the EEG-QIP files configuration screen.
Question 3: How many programs can I show on one page? How many hours of Guide?
Answer 3:
8 (eight) programs per page and two hours of guide.
Question 4:
What is the format of the guide.dat file?
Answer 4: Guide.dat is a text file with the following format:
#Entry Type Field - 0 (Regular), 1 (Aux)
# If Entry Type == 0 Then Cable Channel
# If Entry Type == 1 Then User Specified Name (8 Characters max)
#Channel/Name Field: This is the channel name
#Program Info Field (Conditionally Included)
# If Entry Type == 1 Then User Specified Program Information (1 entry only, should be less than ~50
characters)

NOTE REGARDING MAJOR / MINOR HANDLING: Major/minor channel pairs may use a ‘.’ or a ‘-‘ as
the delimiting character. A major channel-only channel is also acceptable. A mixture of major/minor/
major-only is acceptable within the same guide.dat file.
