Guide Source Screen
The “Event Log” screen is a “read and write” screen where the following parameters can be displayed or configured.
EPG Data Information
Last Uploaded: Shows last date/time Guide Source files were uploaded (either manually or automatically) to
CHIC server
Last Processed: Shows last date/time Guide Source files were processed by CHIC server. Automatic
processing of Guide Source files is performed daily (configurable) to ensure that programming information is
up-to-date.
progrec.txt Last Modified: Shows last date/time of progrec.txt Guide Source file
skedrec.txt Last Modified: Shows last date/time of skedrec.txt Guide Source file
statrec.txt Last Modified: Shows last date/time of statrec.txt Guide Source file
Manual Guide Source File Selection
A user may manually upload the three Guide Source files. Once uploading is complete, the CHIC server will
process the files and update the DSM-CC data carousel stream.
Automatic Guide Source File Location:
A user may configure the CHIC server to automatically acquire, via an FTP server, the three Guide Source files
daily and a specified time.
URL: Must be of the form: 192.168.1.113/path/to/guide/source/files/ ("ftp://" is not necessary as the protocol will
always be FTP)
Frequency: Frequency is locked down to "Daily" and is not user-configurable. It is shown on the screen as
"Daily" for informational purposes only.
Force Update Now: Out of schedule downloading of Guide Source files can occur if need be.
