Usually no further action will be needed and DSM should function properly.

MANUALLY UNBLOCKING THE COMPUTER FIREWALL

If

fi les fail to download, you may need to verify that the fi rewall is indeed off for

DSM. You can turn the fi rewall completely off, or you can turn it off for only DSM by
following these steps (please check the Port being used by DSM by selecting the MAIN
Tab from the WINDOWS Tabs, and then selecting SETUP from the dropdown list

):

Windows7 / VISTA Operating System

To

turn

fi rewall completely off (not typically recommended):

1. Control Panel>Security>Windows Firewall>Turn Windows Firewall on or Off

Off

Click

OK

To allow just DSM through the Firewall:
1. Control Panel>Security>Windows Firewall>All a program through Windows Firewall
2.

Click

Add Program

3. Browse to C:\Program Files\Drake Digital\Drake Digital DNP Series Digital Signage

Manager\DrakeDigitalSignagemanager.exe for DSM (Typically found here but may be
found in a different location on some PCs)

Highlight/Select

DrakeDigitalSignageManager.exe

Click

OK

6. Now add Port Number: (the number located in DSM>MAIN Tab>SETUP) TCP
