While e-mail is the best way to obtain a software key, we can also give you one over the
telephone. Here are our names and numbers:

With the software certificate number and software key, you can register the IP-CommKit software
on your host. Log in as root. If IP-CommKit is running, stop it first (see details in section 6.3) and
run the following command:
$ /opt/dk/sbin/dkregister
The command will prompt you for the software certificate number and the software key, then
validate the values that you enter. If they are correct, it will save the registration information on
the host's disk. You will need to re-register your IP-CommKit software on this host again when
you install subsequent maintenance releases.
It is now a good time to customize your control tables. (If you had just re-registered your IP-
CommKit software and do not need to customize your control tables, start IP-CommKit again.
See section 6.3 for details.)
