1.4 Configurations
The MR-S2 comes in two configuration modes. The MR-S2, shown in in Figure 1-2, is a
Satellite-to-Ethernet IP router.
The MR-S2-ASI has the same feature set as the MR-S2; however, it contains an ASI input and
ASI output port. The MR-S2 not only can route ASI data from the input, it also is capable of
multiplexing the satellite feed to an existing ASI stream. The capabilities of the MR-S2-ASI are
shown in Figure 1-3.
