Introduction

Overview
System Services Framework (SSF) is a management and configuration interface to Artesyn's
ATCA™ hardware and software products. It facilitates system level configuration and
management access to SSF managed hardware and software components, through different
protocol interfaces like Web, XML, and CLI.
SSF stores and provides access to all modeled system configuration data in a Common System
Information Model (CSIM). The CSIM data is based on a tree structure and rooted on the
physical hardware system model, that is referred as hardware containment hierarchy. The
hardware containment hierarchy is automatically populated based on information derived
from the HPI interface for the HPI capable systems. The hardware containment hierarchy
supports representation of all physical hardware entities up to the FRU level.
Key features:
Access, Authentication, and Authorization
Configuration persistency, reload, and rollback
Hierarchal representation of System Model
Dynamic population of System Model
Remote system configuration management, firmware upgrade, and system diagnosis
Application management of remote systems
Event and alarm management
Graphical monitoring of Sensors
