Installation
Sorensen SLH-Series DC High Power Electronic Load
a. Mark the correct voltage on the rear panel of SLH-series high power load.
b. Check the rating of the line fuse and replace it with the correct fuse if necessary.
(The line fuse is located below the AC line receptacle see Figure 2-2).
c. With the power cord removed, use a small screwdriver to extract the fuse holder
from under the AC socket.
d. Replace the fuse with the appropriate type as indicated in Figure 2-1. These fuses
are slow-blow fuses.
e. Reinstall fuse holder and connect the power cord.

2.1.2 Grounding
Requirements
The SLH-series high power load is equipped with a three-conductor cable that plugs into an
appropriate receptacle to ground the instrument's cover.
2.1.3 Environmental Requirements
• For indoor use only
• Installation Category II (overvoltage)
• Pollution Degree 2
• Altitude up to 2000 meters (with power derating)
• Relative Humidity 80% RH Max
• Ambient Operating Temperature 0-40°C, with ideal being 25°C ± 5°C
2.1.4 Tilt
Adjustment
The SLH-Series high power load is equipped with adjustable tilt stands for use as a bench-
top instrument to provide a user-friendly viewing angle.
2.1.5 Rack
Mount
The SLH-Series high power load is designed to permit mounting in a standard 19-inch rack
for system application.
2.1.6 Repair
If the instrument is damaged, please attach a tag to the instrument to identify the owner and
indicate the required service or repairing. Follow the procedures in the Warranty page.
