Emulator Test Points

There are seven numbered test points on the back of the emulator; however, not all of the
test points are used. The following table lists and describes the test points.

Table 2-4. Emulator Test Points

Number

Description

1

Ground

2

Goes low during data strobe when the Z8 accesses a
breakpoint location.

4

Goes high whenever the emulator is emulating due to a GO;
goes low due to a STOP operation.

7

If this input is low (for example, if jumpered to Test Point 1),
the emulator doesn't stop emulating when it reaches a
breakpoint, but continues to produce a pulse on Test
Point 2.) This feature allows you to use the Breakpoint facil-
ity of the emulator to control or trigger external equipment.
