Running the Demonstration Application and Test Designs

1 Because the demonstration application communicates with the board using the same
interface as the Quartus II Programmer or SignalTap
® II Embedded Logic Analyzer,
you can run only one of these applications at a time.
1 The application will not run unless the USB cable is attached, power is applied, and
the correct .sof is programmed to the Stratix IV GT FPGA as specified in
Table 6–1 on
page 6–1 .

For operating system stability, keep the USB cable connected and the board
powered ON when running the demonstration application.
Demonstration Application Description
The demonstration application provides an easy-to-use interface ( Figure 6–1 ) to
change transceiver parameters and observe the performance. You can customize your
board design by choosing transceiver settings from the categories described in this
section.
