A. Disconnect negative cable at the battery.

B. Remove the plastic engine covers and set

aside.

C. Remove the valve cover breather hose from the

factory air inlet duct. Remove the air filter and all

ducting upstream of the throttle body.

D. Unplug the IAT (Inlet Air Temperature) sensor

connector and remove it from the air filter hous-

ing. Set it aside for later use.

E. Remove the accessory drive belt.

F. Unplug the fan electrical connector, then remove

fan shroud hardware. Pull up and remove the

electric radiator fan assembly from the vehicle

(cooling system may need to be drained and

upper radiator hose removed).

2009-2010 Challenger A/T Only: Using an ap-

propriate power steering pulley removal tool,

remove the power steering pump pulley from

the pump.

2009-2010 Challenger A/T Only: Install the sup-

plied power steering pulley hub onto the power

steering pump so that it is flush with the end of

the shaft. (See Fig. 1-a)
