4. DIAGNOSTIC SOFTWARE

4.1

How to Connect to Surge + Diagnostic

a. Starting the Program:

Open the “ESP Next Gen PCS” Diagnostic Software

(located under “Programs” on your PC Start Menu).

b. Please Note: A shortcut to this manual will also be located in this location on your PC for future reference

and troubleshooting.

i. Connecting the Software:

1. Make sure that the USB Data Cable is connected to both the Surge + Diagnostic

and your PC (for

instructions on how to connect USB Data Cable, refer to Section 3 – 3.3 - c : Hardware/USB Data
Interface Cable/Instructions for Data Retrieval – listed above)

Press the red button beside “Status” to connect to the Surge + Diagnostic. The Connection Status
will change to

Green

and the top of the screen will indicate that Filter is

Connected
