National 383 SIO Control Sub-Menu (Advanced Menu)
Pressing Enter here will provide a sub-menu that controls the configuration
of National 383 SIO devices such as the serial port, and/or the infrared
transceiver (FIR Device).
Legacy USB Support (Advanced Menu)
Use this menu item to enable/disable the support for Legacy Universal Serial
Bus. Legacy USB support allows USB devices (usually those which don’t re-
quire drivers) to be used in operating systems other than Windows (e.g. DOS).
Boot-time Diagnostic Screen: (Advanced Menu)
Use this menu item to enable/disable the display on the boot-time Diagnostic
Screen (Note that enabling this option will bypass the POST as illustrated
in
Figure 5 - 1 on page 5 - 2
).
Reset Configuration Data: (Advanced Menu)
This item is set to No as default. You can change the setting to Yes if you have
installed a new add-on which has reconfigured the system, resulting in such a
serious system conflict that the operating system is unable to boot.
Power on Boot Beep/Battery Low Alarm Beep: (Advanced Menu)
Enable/Disable the audible warning for power and battery low alarm here.
