NOTICE: Use only alkaline bat-
teries (not included).
Installing Remote Receiver
1. Open bottom louver and locate the switch
bracket on the right
2. Locate the battery clip mounted on the back
of the receiver. Slide a 9-volt alkaline battery
(not included) through the clip
3. Attach the terminal wires to the battery. (see
Figure 44).
4. Connect wires from receiver to TH and TPTH
to control valve (see Figure 43, page 24).
5. Locate the two plastic mounting clips provided
with the kit.
6. Use the clips to mount the receiver on remote
mounting bracket as shown in Figure 45.

Installing 9-volt Alkaline Battery in Hand-
Held Remote Control Unit
1. Remove battery cover on back of remote
control unit.
2. Attach terminal wires to a 9-volt alkaline
battery (not included). Place battery into the
battery housing.
3. Replace battery cover onto remote control
unit.

Installing and Activating the Remote
Receiver
1. Open bottom louver and locate the plug recep-
tacle. The plug receptacle is located either on
the right or left side of cabinet.
2. The WRC model receiver does not require a bat-
tery. The receiver can be installed by first plug-
ging the short extension cord into the fireplace
receptacle. Then plug the receiver unit into the
extension cord. Finally plug the ignition module
plug into the receiver unit (see Figure 47).
3. Activate the remote handset battery by re-
moving the insulating tab on the back of the
handset (see Figure 48, page 26). The battery
is included pre-installed.
