If you have a UMC Super Multi-I/O, the jumper setting for JPl A, JPl B,

and JPIC are no longer needed. On Page 4-7, the default settings for
JPl A, JPIB, and JPIC will be fixed on position 1-2.

The Infrared function on the UMC super multi-I/0 chip is enabled

through BIOS setup only, no hardware settings are necessary.

Check to see whether you have
a SMC Super Multi-I/O or a

UMC Super Multi-I/O. The

above applies to UMC only,
otherwise refer to page 4-7 for

UART2/IR Selection.
