If your battery /s too так to start the enffim, it
should be recharged. If "Jumper cables"are used
for emergency starting, follow this procedure:
NOTE: YOUR TRACTOR IS EQUIPPED WITH A 12
VOLT NEOAtIVE OROUNDEO SYSTEM. THE OTHER
VEHICLE MUST ALSO BE A U VOLT NEGATIVE
GROUNDED SYSTEM.
LEAO'ACID BATTERIES GENERATE EX­
PLOSIVE GASES. KEEP SPARKS, FLAME
AND SMOKING MATERIALS AWAY FROM
BATTERIES. ALWAYS WEAR EYE PRO­
TECTION WHEN AROUND BATTERIES,
3. Connect each end of The RED cable to the
POSITIVE
(+) terminals of each battery
(taking care not to short against chmisi
(Fig, 271
b. Connect one end of the BLACK cable to the
NEGATIVE (—) ^rmlnals of fully charged
battery,
c. Connect the other end of the cable to the L.H.
elds panel bolt (Fig, 28} NOTE: KEEP
AWAY FROM GAS TANK AND BATTERY.
d. Disconnec i cables In reverse order:
h LM side panel bolt (Fig. 28),
2. Negative terminals of fully chared battety.
3. Positive terminals:
IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE YOUR TRACTOR SAT
TERY to start OTHER VEHICLES.

Never attempt to change maximum en^'ne speed.
This is preset at the fyctary (3600 ±100 RPM)
and should only be changed bye quail fled service
technician who has the necessary equipment
a. Remove hood, page 23.
b. Loosen casing clamp screwund! throttle cable
is free to move.
c. Move throttle control (on the dashboard) to
"FAST" position,
dr Putt throttle cable tight (until swivel beneath
carburetor Is against side of quarter circle),
RetIghten casing clamp screw
