S116 – Parallel-Pick-Up Energy Detection Threshold

(Default = 50h)

Sets the Threshold for PPU to detect loss of Energy compared to the energy level at the time of
connection. Use 48h/50h/5Ah for 1/2/3dB loss of Energy when parallel phone is picked up.

4.4.114

S117 – No Activity Timeout

(Default = 0)
Sets the duration for the no activity timeout option. Resolution is in seconds. Range is 0 - 255. When set
to zero the no activity timeout option is disabled. When enabled, values of S117 >= to 15 are
recommended.

4.4.115

S118 – Caller ID Ring Interrupt Delay

(Default = 20)
Disables ring interrupt detection for the specified period of time during CID enable/disable transitions,
measured in ms.

4.4.116

S119 – Wait Before Connect

(Default = FFh)
Allows programmable delay between completion of handshake and connect (ready for data). User should
be careful, Host will have to complete delay period before transmitting data. Setting the value at this
register will affect timing for all modes. Resolution is in 10ms increments. The Default delay times are as
follows:

QAM Answer Mode = 200ms
PSK Answer Mode = 770ms
PSK Originate Mode = 770ms
FSK Originate Mode = 300ms

NOTE: Special mode when S119 = $FF (Default), uses same value of wait as in the past.

4.4.117

S120 – Accepted Answer Tone Frequencies

(Default = $35)
Enables control over what the modem will qualify as answer tone. By default, the modem functions as it
has in the past.

Bit 0 1650Hz – V21 Marks (default)

Bit 1 1300Hz – V23 Marks

Bit 2 2100Hz – ITU Answer Tone (default)

Bit 3 Reserved

Bit 4 2225Hz – Bell Answer Tone (default
)
Bit 5 2250Hz – S0 (default)
