Refer to the documentation that came with your FileNet Content Manager product for more
details about FileNet Content Manager permissions.
Caution
FileNet Content Manager group permissions override individual user permissions. In
addition, documents do not inherit permissions from their parents when using the release script.
FileNet Content Manager Domain
To log on to the FileNet Content Manager release script, the logged-in user must be a member of
the FileNet Content Manager domain.
FileNet Content Manager Object Store
To access a FileNet Content Manager object store in release setup, you must select an object store
to which the logged-in user has the appropriate authorization to connect. If you select an object
store that you do not have authorization to connect, you will receive an error message prompting
you to select an object store that you have the appropriate permissions to access.
Create Folders
To create folders, you must have permission to access the FileNet Content Manager object store. In
addition, you must have permissions to create new objects and modify existing objects on the
object store. This will allow new folders to be created to organize the objects in the object store. If
you do not have the necessary permissions, an error will be logged at release and the documents
will be rejected and routed to the Kofax Capture Quality Control module. No validation is
performed during release setup to ensure that you have the appropriate permissions to create
folders on the selected object store.
You must also have the following security rights to use the folder class:
View all properties
Modify all properties
Create instance
Read permission
