Cable Box Universal Remote Control Operation
The Remote Control may be set up to control
some of the functions on your Cable Box.

Find your cable box brand code number
from the chart at left.

While holding down CATV,
use the NUMBERED keys to
enter your cable box brand
code number.
For code numbers 100 or greater, first push the 100 key, and then enter
the remaining digit. E.g., for 102, push 100, then push 2.
Try each of the functions listed under
Set to
CATV:
at the bottom of the page.
• Due to changes in infra-red commands used by some
manufactures, some Cable Box brands are listed more than
once. If your Cable Box does not respond to the first code,
please try entering the next code.
Using the Universal Remote Control
Once the remote control has been properly setup, you can select MAIN, or
CATV mode depending on which functions you wish to control. (See below.)

Push MAIN or CATV on the remote
control to select the desired mode.
(See below for a list of controllable
functions for each mode.)

The remote control is designed
to control the brands listed.
However, it will not operate all
Cable Boxes made by these
manufactures. If you get no
results, your particular product
brand cannot be controlled by
this remote.
Set to MAIN:
• All TV and VCR
functions
Set to CATV:
Cable box Power
Numbered keys
Channel Up/Down
Basic VCR functions,
e.g. PLAY, REC, etc.
FM/TV (ENTER)
NOTES:
• In CATV mode, it maybe necessary to push FM/TV (ENTER) after
pushing the NUMBERED keys for channel selection.
• In CATV mode, ADD/DLT, MENU. PROG, ON-TIMER, R-TUNE and
FM/TV are not available. Push MAIN to use these functions.
• Depending on your cable box brand, some of the functions listed may
not be remote controllable.
