Reproducing an Advanced Virtual

Surround Sound (V.S.S.) effect

Use this feature to enjoy a surround-like effect if you are using two

front speakers.

Press [V.S.S.] during play.

Each time this button is pressed, the player’s FL display changes:

® V.S.S. 1 (Natural effect)

•The V.S.S. indicator on the button lights up green when the V.S.S.

function is activated.

Enjoying V.S.S. through headphones

DVD-RV80

1. Press [DISPLAY] twice to show the On-Screen Menu Icons

on the television and select the V.S.S. icon with the cursor

. buttons [◄, ►].

2. Select the headphone V.S.S. mode with the cursor buttons

[ A , V ]

the sound from the speakers will sound strange.

•V.S.S. effect does not work with Karaoke DVDs.
• V.S.S, will not work or wilt have less effect with some discs.
•Turn off the TV surround sound and other surround sound eftects

when using this effect.

• Sound will only come from the two front speakers if V.S.S. is on.

For your reference

• For optimum effect, it is recommended that the distance between

the television and the listening position be about 3 to 4 times the
distance between the right and left front speakers. Q

• You can also change the V.S.S. level with the On-Screen Menu
