Searching for PTY
(Use the remote controller for the following operation.)
© Select the desired station from among those preset in the preset
number buttons 1 through 6. (The buttons of Main unit.) Then, the
preset PTY and that preset number are displayed for 5 seconds,
(When PTY is dispiayed, PTY may be searched for with the BAND
button after selecting PTY with “ VTUNE” or “TUNE A”.)

Press preset button.
© While the desired type from 6 presets is displayed, take either of the
following two steps.
A) Press the same preset button again. (The buttons of Main unit.)
B) Press BAND.
If the desired PTY station is available, it is directly received. If It is
not, “NO PTY” blinks and the radio returns to the station that was
received before the search.

Press the same button again to cancel.
Canceling of PTY Mode
(Use the remote controller for the following operation.)
Press PTY to cancel.
The set returns to the state existing before PTY mode while the receiv
ing frequency remains unchanged.
Emergency Announcement
Reception
(Some areas are not covered by emergency announcement service.)
If an emergency announcement is broadcast during CD/CD changer
mode, the radio is automatically selected to receive the emergency
announcement. “ALARM” blinks.
