A. Basic Operation in RDS Reception (PS, AF, CT, PI)

RDS Reception

{Use the remote controller for the following operation.)
Press AF when receiving a station in the FM1, FM2 or FM3 band.

• The operating mode changes to AF ON or AF OFF, respectively.

• Select AF ON if you wish to use the AF network of an RDS station.

Best station research is activated at the same time.

• Select AF OFF if the AF network of an RDS station is not neces

sary.

Best Station Research

If a preset RDS station is in poor condition of reception when you try to

tune in to it, the best frequency is selected from the AF list of that station.

To Change AF Mode

(Use the remote controller for the following operation.)
Press AF to chage AF ON and activate Best Station Research at the
same time, (3 seconds maximum)

Notes:

1. Default mode is AF1.

2. AF1 has a low level of AF operating sensitivity in urban areas.

Therefore, AF dose not frequently operate even of sensitivity is
temporarily lowered between skyscrapers, for examples.

3. AF2 is for suburban areas with a higher level of sensitivity than

AF1.
