TROUBLESHOOTING

A “humming” sound
can be heard.
Incorrect cable connections. Firmly connect the audio plugs. If the problem
persists, the cables may be defective. 10-16
The volume level
cannot be increased, or
the sound is distorted. The component connected to the OUT
(REC) jacks of this unit is turned off.
Turn on the power to the component. —
The sound effect
cannot be recorded. It is not possible to record the sound
effect by a recording component.

The sound field
parameters and some
other settings on this
unit cannot be
changed.
‘TO MEM. GUARD” in the SET MENU
is set to ON. Set “10 MEM. GUARD” in the SET MENU to
OEF.
This unit does not
operate property. The internal microcomputer has been
frozen by an external electric shock (such
as lightning or excessive static electricity)
or by a power supply with low voltage.
Disconnect the AC power cord from the outlet
and then plug it in again after about 30 seconds.
“CHECK SP WIRES”
appears on the front
panel display.
Speaker cables are short circuited. Make sure all speaker cables are connected
correctly. —
There is noise
interference from digital
or high-frequency
equipment, or this unit.
This unit is too close to the digital or
high-frequency equipment. Move this unit further away from such
equipment.
This unit suddenly
turns into the standby
mode.
The internal temperature becomes too
high and the overheat protection circuitry
has been activated. Wait until this unit cools down and then turn it
back on. —
