Section III: Anchor Installation
Anchor Installation
Note: A.) Attach anchors to mullions with temporary screws as
shown below.
B.) Install vertical mullions in position and attach anchors to
building structure per “APPROVED” shop drawings.
Wind Load Anchor
Welded to building structure
Dead Load Anchor
Welded to building structure
1/16” Horseshoe shim
#12 X 1” Tek for alignment
only. Must be removed after
installation of thru bolt at
wind load anchor to allow for
thermal expansion and
contraction.
Weld to building
structure per
“APPROVED”
shop drawings.
Note: When welding,
protect installed glass
and metal from weld
splatter.
After final alignment of
mullion, align drill mullion
in best hole location.
Note: A hole must
be a minimum of 1”
from back of
mullion to clear
steel reinforcement
if required for job.
