Problems and Troubleshooting
Use the following checklist for troubleshooting when you have problems with your camera.
Consult your local dealer or service outlet if problems persist.
Be sure all connections are properly made when using the camera with other units.
The following warnings may appear in viewfinder:
Warning Cause Remedy
Battery pack charge is low. Replace with fully charged
battery pack.
Condensation (DEW) has formed Refer to Condensation
inside unit.
(see p. 82).
Safety mechanism is activated. Unload and reload video
cassette.
Lithium battery is not in place
properly or charge is low. Insert new lithium battery
(see p. 20).
Video cassette is not loaded. Load a video cassette.
Erasure prevention switch on the
video cassette is set to prevent
recording.
Use another video cassette or
set switch to enable recording
(see p. 30).
