Basic Recording

OPERATE

1. Attach a power source.

• See pp. 15-21 for using power sources.

2. Turn the camera on.

• The OPERATE indicator lights up.

3. Load a cassette.

• See p. 23 for loading/unloading cassettes.
• Use an 8mm video cassette marked with an B (P5 type).
• The camera goes into “record pause mode”. KfiBSl

4. Press the SP/LP button to select the tape speed.

• For best picture quality, select SP.
• For double recording time, select LP.

5. Pull out the finder.

• See p. 26 for using the finder.

6. Turn the grip to the desired position.

• See p. 27 for adjusting the grip.
