When the camera’s shutter button is pressed halfway, the setting cor
responding to the focal length of the lens in use is displayed in the
LCD panel.

• Manual Zoom Operation
To set the flash coverage angle
manually, press the zoom button.
When the zoom button is pressed,
the manual zoom indicator El zoom
and
the
ZOOM
indicator
both
appear in the display. Each press
of the zoom button changes the
coverage angle in the following
cycle:

Be careful to select a setting that is equal to or less than the focal length of the
lens mounted on the camera. If you select a setting that is larger than the focal
length of the lens, the resulting photograph will be dark around the edges.

• Using the Wide Panel
By pulling out the wide panel and
letting it swing down to cover the
front of the flash head as shown in
the diagram, the flash can be
used
to
cover
super-wide-angle
focal lengths as short as 18mm.
• The zoom button does not function
when the wide panel is in use.
• The wide panei shouid oniy be used
when the fiash head is in the normal
(straight ahead) or 7° downward
position
