16. Autofocus Filming

Focusing is automatic with the AF310XL-S
and AF310XL. To focus the majority of sub

jects, simply point the camera toward your

subject to begin filming. Make sure the sub

ject covers the center of the viewfinder. Then

depress the shutter release lever all the way.
When correctly centered in the viewfinder,
ordinary subjects present no problems for
the autofocus system. There are some sub

jects, however, which require special atten

tion when filming. These subjects can be

divided into four categories.
