7. Attaching the Microphone
Push the microphone in and then down as in
dicated in the picture. Then slowly extend
the microphone to its full length. Generally, it
is best to keep the microphone fully extended
when making sound films. The microphone
may pick up unnecessary noise from the
camera’s motor if kept in its retracted position
during filming.
If you have the AF31OXL, or are making
silent films with the AF310XL-S, pro
ceed to page 21.
