2. In the viewfinder, the film transport in
dicator ® will NOT move.
By pressing in the shutter lever ALL THE
WAY, filming begins.
What happens?
1. You'll hear the motor along with the
sound of the film being transported.
2. You'll see the film transport indicator
moving up and down in the viewfinder.
Learn to distinguish between the two steps.
Practice releasing the shutter lever (without
film in the camera) until you feel completely
comfortable with its use.
•When you depress the shutter lever halfway,
the focus is fixed at the distance of the sub
ject toward which you have pointed the
camera. Thus, if you move the camera while
still holding the shutter lever in the halfway
position, place your subject where you want
it to be, i.e. not in the center of the viewfinder,
focusing remains fixed at the subject dis
tance the camera has memorized the first in
stance the shutter lever was pressed half
way. This method is called prefocusing.
Please see p. 29 for the detailed procedure.
