13. Holding the Camera

Hold the camera steadily to avoid shaky and

blurred movies. Put the strap around your
neck or shouider and hold the camera firmly

with your right hand. Use your left hand for

steadying the upper part of the camera and

for zooming. Press your right eibow against

your body and keep your feet siightiy apart,

one ahead of the other.

When panning to foliow your subject’s move

ment, shift oniy the upper part of your body.

The ideai, when possible, is to mount the

camera on a tripod.
