The strip film holder is inserted into the scanner by
holding the back end of the strip film holder and pushing
the front end into the film slot of the scanner. The strip
film holder should be pushed in gently until the first stop
is felt.
It is best to align the strip film holder before inserting it
so the holder is in the same place as the film slot on the
scanner and the holder goes straight into the scanner.
This is no different than pushing a disk into a disk drive
or a video tape into a video tape player. This is
illustrated in Figure 4.13.

When ready to scan, the strip film holder extends out of
the front of the scanner as shown in Figure 4.14.

Ejecting the holder
The strip film holder is ejected the same way a slide is
ejected.
The software eject command accomplishes this task.
Unlike a slide, it is possible to simply remove the strip
film holder by hand when the scanner is not in a
working status since it always extends out the front of
the scanner.
