The following SCSI hard-disk drive indicator lights are located at the top of each SCSI
hard-disk drive carrier and provide information on the drive in that bay (see Figure 1-1):

The green drive online indicator lights when the hard-disk drive is receiving
power.

The green drive activity indicator lights when data is being transferred to or
from the hard-disk drive.
‡
If a Dell PERC 2, Dell PERC 2/DC, Dell PERC 2/SC, or Dell PERC 3/DI host
adapter card is installed in the host computer, the amber drive fault indicator
lights if a disk failure is detected.
