Removing the Video Card
CAUTION:
Before you begin any of the procedures in this section, follow the

NOTICE:
To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist
grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as the
back panel) on the computer.

Handle components and cards by their edges, and avoid touching pins
and contacts.
1 Follow the instructions in "Before You Begin" on page 9.
2 Remove any installed ExpressCards from the ExpressCard slot.
3 Remove any installed memory modules or Mini Cards (see "Memory" on
page 19 and "Communication Cards" on page 31).
4 Remove the hard drive (see "Hard Drive" on page 15).
5 Remove the internal card with Bluetooth
®
wireless technology (see
Wireless Technology" on page 13).
6 Remove the palm rest (see "Palm Rest" on page 49).
7 Remove the display graphics cable from its connector.
8 Carefully lift up the video card assembly by pulling on the connector on
the system board.
