Removing the Consumer Infrared Board
CAUTION: Before you begin any of the procedures in this section, follow the
safety instructions in the Product Information Guide.
NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist
grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as the
back panel) on the computer.
1 Follow the instructions in "Before You Begin" on page 9.
2 Remove the palm rest (see "Palm Rest" on page 49).
3 Remove the two screws securing the consumer infrared board.
4 Remove the infrared connector cable from the system board.
5 Remove the consumer infrared board by lifting it up.
