7.4 Operation Menu

Selecting the Operation menu displays the following drop down menu.

Project Number

Select this menu to change or add a new Project number and or Gel/PVDF number.

New Project

Select this menu to change or add a new Project number and or Gel/PVDF number.

Using this menu, any currently selected spots not yet cut will be lost.

Calibration

This function is used to calibrate the x, y movements of the cutting head Alternatively you may

select the Manual calibration shortcut buttons located below the menu bar (see Appendix D).

Upon selecting the calibration menu the Serial Number box will appear.

You must click on the Enter Serial Number text field and type in the serial Number.

(The serial number was provided when the system was delivered).

Light On/Light Off

Selecting this menu will either turn system lights on or off, depending on their current

state.

(a) Lights on can also be achieved by pressing the Light On shortcut button located

below the menu bar. (see Appendix D)

(b) Light off can also be achieved by pressing Light Off shortcut button located

below the menu bar. (see Appendix D)

Move to Home

Select this menu or press the Move to Home Position shortcut button located below the

menu bar (see Appendix D) to move system cutting head to the home position. This is the
location at the top left-hand corner of the working surface. This position may be used for
changing cutting tips.
