Motor Installation - Firewall Mount

Required Parts

Fuselage assembly
Motor with mounting hardware

Required Tools and Adhesives

Phillips screwdriver: #1

Flat blade screwdriver: 1.5mm

Ruler

1. Use a #1 Phillips screwdriver to remove the three

screws holding the cowl to the fuselage. Set the

screws and cowl aside.

You can also remove the pushrods from the tubes in

the fuselage at this time to keep them from sliding out

and getting bent. Both pushrods are the same length so

returning them to their proper locations is not an issue.

2. The motor shaft must be repositioned to accept

the propeller adapter. Follow the instructions

provided with the motor to reposition the motor

shaft. Use care not to damage the motor.

Always use threadlock on metal-to-metal fasteners

to prevent them from vibrating loose.

3. Attach the mount to the motor using the

setscrew provided with the motor. Use a 1.5mm

flat screwdriver to tighten the setscrew.
