Error Message Action
PRINTER JAM
•
A Paper jam has occurred in the printer. See
‘PAPER JAMS and how clear to them’.
DOCUMENT JAM •
A Paper jam has occurred in the document feeder.
Refer to ‘PAPER JAMS and how to clear them’.
TONER LOW •
Purchase a new toner cartridge in order to be ready
for when the Toner Empty message is indicated.
TONER EMPTY
•
Please replace the toner cartridge. See to ‘How to
replace the toner cartridge’ in Chapter 3 or view the
instructional video on the CD-ROM.
•
Make sure the toner cartridge is installed into the
printer.
•
Re-install the toner cartridge into the printer
correctly.
CHANGE DRUM SOON
•
Please replace the drum unit by referring to ‘How
to replace the drum unit’ in Chapter 3
or view the
instructional video on the CD-ROM.
MEMORY FULL •
If you are printing, press the Job Cancel button to
print the data remaining in the printer. If you are
copying, press the
Copy button to print the data
remaining in the printer.

Reduce the print resolution or reduce the
complexity of your document.
•
Expand the printer memory by adding a Memory
Expansion board.
See ‘How to add extra Memory’
in Chapter 2.
MACHINE ERROR XX •
Press the Stop key, and turn the power off. Wait
for a few seconds and then try again. If the error
occurs again, consult your dealer.
PLS OPEN COVER •
If this messages appears on the LCD, open and
close the front cover. The message may disappear
if opening/closing the front cover corrects the error.
