3 Connecting the eluent path
■
Equip the 6.1834.080 eluent aspiration tubing and connect with
the eluent bottle (see Chapter 3.8.1, page 31).
■
Connect the 6.1831.150 column inlet capillary and the capillary of
the MSM-HC labeled with Eluent with a 6.2744.040 coupling and
two 6.2744.070 short pressure screws.
This coupling takes place of the separation column which may be
installed after the initial start-up only.
■
Connect the end of the capillary of the MSM-HC labeled with
Detector and the detector inlet capillary with a 6.2744.040 cou-
pling and two 6.2744.070 short pressure screws (see "Connecting
the detector inlet capillary to the MSM
4 Connecting the sample path
Note
The sample degasser does not have to be connected. We recom-
mend the usage of the sample degasser only if the sample matrix
requires it.
■
Connect the 6.1803.040 sample aspirating capillary connected at
the sample input of the injection valve to the output of the sam-
ple degasser with the aid of a 6.2744.090 long pressure screw
(see Chapter 3.13, page 44).
■
Connect a part of the 6.1803.040 PTFE capillary with a
6.2744.090 long pressure screw to the input of the sample
degasser. Guide the other end out of the instrument through a
capillary feed-through and connect it to the Sample Processor (see
Sample Processor manual).
■
Guide the sample outlet capillary connected to the sample output
of the injection valve out of the instrument through a capillary
feed-through and onward to the waste container and then fasten
it there.
5 Installing the peristaltic pump
(see Chapter 3.17.2, page 55).
■
Connect the 6.1803.020 aspirating capillary for regeneration solu-
tions with a 6.2744.034 tubing olive and a 6.2744.070 short
pressure screw to the aspiration end of the 6.1826.320 pump
tubing for the regeneration solution.
■
Place the pump tubing in a tubing cartridge.
