Chapter 1 Welcome to FactoryTalk Historian for Batch
This information is intended for the following users.
• RSBizWare Administrator
The administrator configures the RSBizWare system so it can
capture time-series data for use by report designers and report
users.
Though most of the configuration needed to run FactoryTalk
Historian for Batch is completed during the installation and
setup of FactoryTalk Historian Classic, administrators have a
small amount of work to do to configure FactoryTalk
Historian for Batch before use.
• Report Designer
The report designer creates the reports that will be used by
report users. The report designer can use the pre-defined
reports supplied with FactoryTalk Historian for Batch as
templates to build custom reports. Advanced designers can use
the FactoryTalk Historian for Batch and BHBatchHis Table
schema information to further customize their reports. For
more information, see BHBatchHis Table (page 30).
• Report User
The report user makes use of the reports created by the report
designer to perform his job. The report user can make various
selections to modify the information displayed in each report.

the product:
• Release Notes
The release notes contain current information about the
product, including hardware and software requirements, new
features, known and fixed anomalies.
