Triac outputs turn on at any point in the AC line cycle, and turn off at AC line zero cross.

To limit the effects of leakage current through solid-state outputs, a loading resistor can be connected in parallel with your load. For 120V AC
operation, use a 15 K
Ω, 2 W resistor. For 240V AC operation, use a 15 KΩ, 5 W resistor.
