Installing and Using Additional WD Software
This chapter contains the following topics:
WD Print Share
My Net View (Windows)
The My Net AC1300 router supports two Western Digital applications: WD Print Share and
My Net View. To install the software, you have two options:
„ Install it from the WD Software folder on the Setup and Resource CD.
„ Download it from http://support.wdc.com/.
Note: After downloading and saving the software files, follow the same
procedure as you would for installing the files from the CD.
WD Print Share
Your My Net AC1300 Router can share a printer, a multi-function printer, or a scanner with
computers on your network. Just connect the printer/scanner to an available USB port on
the router, install the printer/scanner manufacturer’s software, and then install WD Print
Share software on each computer that will share the printer/scanner.

Before installing WD Print Share software, make sure the manufacturer’s printer/scanner
driver and software are installed in your computer.
1. Connect the USB printer/scanner to any available USB port on the back your router.
2. Insert the Setup and Resources CD into your computer’s CD drive.
3. Double-click WD Software > WDPrintShare > setup. The InstallShield Wizard for WD
Print Share displays.
4. Follow the wizard’s instructions to display the Print Share Control Center screen.
Note: To open this screen in the future, double-click the WD Print Share icon on
your desktop.
