Framing Angle
Truss uplift can cause unsightly damage to the inside
corner where the wall meets the ceiling. The rigid pvc
Framing Angle is designed to keep your inside corner
stationary and prevent damage during truss uplift.
The Framing Angle is attached to the top plate with
screws. Both the top plate and the Framing Angle are
1 ½" wide so you can line up the Framing Angle (the
side with the wholes) with the bottom of the top plate
for an easy STRAIGHT installation.
Hang your drywall on the ceiling first. Attach the
drywall to the Framing Angle every
" between
16"-24
the trusses. If your screw goes into the truss the
product will not function as intended. Keep your field
screws at least 18" away from the Framing Angle.
Framing Angle is not designed to support the entire
weight of the drywall so be sure you have enough
field screws.
Push the drywall on the partition wall up tight to the
ceiling drywall. Finish your inside corner as you
normally would.

The Framing Angle will keep the ceiling board tight to
the wall board during a truss uplift condition, as
shown to the left. This will prevent damage to the
inside corner cause by the truss uplift.
The Framing Angle should be used on interior
partition walls where truss uplift conditions exist.
Install Framing Angle around the whole interior
perimeter of a room.
Framing Angle can also be used where blocking is
missing on inside corners.
