Operation
Travel Limit Switches (Physical Limits)
There are three limit switches on MTS Criterion Series 60 frames, the crosshead
upper limit, crosshead lower limit, and piston travel limit.
Crosshead travel limits
They are normally closed and are activated when the limit switch contacts the
limit plate.
Piston travel limit
The piston travel limit is normally closed and is activated when the piston
reaches the end of stroke and the limit switch contacts the limit plate.
