The white balance ensures that the
specimenisshowninneutralcolors.We
recommendcarryingoutanewwhitebalance
adjustmentwheneveryouchangetheillumina-
tiontypeorcolortemperature.Thisisparticu-
larlynecessaryifyouareworkingwithhalogen
light that can be switched from yellow (low
intensity)toblue(highintensity).
You can carry out the white balance
usingthecamera'sownmenuorviathe
cameratrigger.
The white balance of the camera is
factorysettoautomaticallyprovideopti-
mumresultswhenusedinconjunctionwitha
LeicaLEDilluminator.

Automatic White Balance
1. Positionagraychartunderthemicroscope
sothattheentireimagefieldisfilledin.
2. Adjusttheilluminationasdesired.
3. Press the trigger and hold it down for 5
seconds. The camera now carries out an
automaticwhitebalance.
