7.4. Setting the safety temperature (with shutdown function)

• Press the key to indicate the safety temperature value on the MULTI-
DISPLAY and using a screwdriver simultaneously turn the setting
screw to the desired value
(example: 250 °C).
Setting range: 0 °C to 420 °C
in 2 °C steps
Safety device in the heating zone:
The safety device works independently from the control circuit and
supervises the temperature in the heating zone.
If the temperature of the bath liquid reaches the safety temperature, a
complete shutdown of the controlled heating device is effected.
The alarm is indicated by optical and audible signals (continuous tone).
On the MULTI-DISPLAY (LED) and DIALOG-DISPLAY (LCD) appears
the error message "
E 14".
Cancel the alarm state (see page 60)
Recommendation:
• Set the safety temperature at 20 °C above the working temperature
setpoint.
• From time to time the safety device has to be checked.
With a screw driver turn back the adjustable overtemperature
protection until the shut-down point (actual temperature).
