249 medium strength threadlocker to the male stud of the receptor (#2) per 1.

(7/32" pin diameter, 1-1/4" diameter circle), tighten the receptor to 55 N-m [40 ft-lb]. See figure 1. (*Notice - Use of
liquid threadlocker is not permissible)

Strip back the insulation from the end of the branch conductor to expose 50 mm [1.97 in] of bare conductor for 2.

Ensure that all strands and layers of the branch conductor are smooth and cylindrical, as they will not fit into the lug if 3.
distorted or frayed. In addition, remove any surface oxidation from the conductor using the T313 card cloth brush.
The use of an oxide inhibitor (such as Penetrox A-13) is recommended for the branch to root connection. 4.
