1) Alternately, the setups can be selected from the menu items. However,
this is not as efficient. Press the MENU key once to activate the menu items
tab. Press the MENU key multiple times to tab right and the ESC key
multiple times to tab left until the SETUP menu is highlighted and displaying
the submenu items.
2) Use the UP and DOWN arrow keys to scroll through the sub menu items
until OPEN is highlighted.
3) Press the ENTER key to display the list of stored setups.
4) Press the UP and DOWN arrow keys to scroll through the list of setups until
the appropriate setup is highlighted.
5) Press the ENTER key to display the confirmation screen.
6) Press the OK key to select the setup and return to the menu screen, or ESC
to cancel the selection process.
7) Press the MEAS key to return to the measurement screen.
Finally, in an effort to be sure that the user is aware of this option, the measurement
mode can be manually selected from the menu items. Important Note: The only
time this option should be considered, is if the user plans to manually setup and
configure the PVX from scratch – the beginning. If the user decides to do a setup
from scratch, all other settings must be tuned from scratch as well. This is not an
effort to discourage the user from learning or choosing to setup the PVX from the
beginning, however it’s certainly the most time consuming option. The setups
already contain the majority of the appropriate settings for the specific transducer,
MODE, gates, gain, threshold, etc. Therefore, selecting a factory setup is a much
easier option to start. Nevertheless, the measurement mode can be selected from
the menu items as follows:
